On Thursday (07/12), the Federal Chamber approved a project that criminalizes the creation or dissemination of nudes generated by artificial intelligence (AI). The text goes to the Senate, and it will likely be approved. The text imposes a penalty of 1 to 4 years in prison, in addition to a fine, for anyone who creates or disseminates modified images that aim to include a person in a nude scene or sexual act, including the use of artificial intelligence in video, audio or photography.

29 Students
At least 29 students aged between 13 and 16 from Colégio Santo Agostinho, an elite school in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro West Zone, suffered the same situation. Those responsible for manipulating the images were teenage boys who study at this school.
Cases were also reported in Minas Gerais and in Pernambuco, where students from Marista São Luís, in Recife (PE), were victimized.
Crimes Multiply Around the World
The situation has become common in other countries too. In a matter of days, similar cases were reported in schools in Spain, the US and many more.
