SÃO PAULO SECURITY INCIDENTS – 2ND BULLETIN OF AUGUST

Making prank calls to the Military Police or firefighters will be expensive from now on. On Thursday, 11th, São Paulo’s Governor Rodrigo Garcia signed a decree that regulates the imposition of fines for those who make a phone call in an attempt to deceive professionals. The amount exceeds R$ 2,000. Administrative punishment in the civil area serves to prevent prank calls from interfering with the work of the police and firefighters. “Unfortunately, this is very common. Just to give you an idea, daily, throughout the state, there are 55,000 calls to 190 and around 3,800 are prank calls”, explains Military Police officer Carlos Marques.

05/08/2022 – A man would have killed his mother-in-law and left his girlfriend injured in the Ermelino Matarazzo neighborhood, East Zone. According to him, mother and daughter would be fighting and ended up stabbing each other. The mother couldn’t resist her injuries. The daughter is hospitalized in serious condition and told the police another version. According to her, the man tried to attack her with a knife and her mother defended her. After killing her mother-in-law, he reportedly tortured his girlfriend so she could record a video saying that she was the author of the crime. The man was arrested and arrived at the police with blood-stained clothes.
