13/10/2023 – Three men were arrested for acting as civil police officers to extort businesspeople in Guarulhos, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo. With the trio, money and fake weapons were seized. According to the Military Police, a team was on patrol when they saw a car go the wrong way. Initially, the men presented themselves as civil police officers, however, during the approach, they confessed that they carried out false inspections at companies in the Guarulhos region, with the aim of extorting the owners.

15/10/2023 – A criminal who was transporting a body in a car was killed during a shooting with police officers from Ronda Ostensiva Tobias de Aguiar (ROTA), during a chase in Jardim Esmeralda, East Zone. According to the Military Police, officers were patrolling Avenida Engenheiro Heitor Antônio Eiras Garcia when they saw a car parked there. Upon noticing the team approaching, the driver of the vehicle accelerated and fired shots towards the police officers. They, in turn, retaliated. In the trunk of the car, officers found the body of a hanged man.
15/10/2023 – One criminal died, and two others managed to escape during an attempted robbery of a Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) in Santo Amaro, South Zone. The agent was returning to his home on a motorcycle, when he was approached by three men, on two motorcycles, who announced the robbery. During the approach, the criminals went to search the GCM. At that moment, fearing that he would be identified, the man took out his gun and shot at the bandits.
15/10/2023 – Two men and two women were arrested after police found around 69 stolen cell phones in their home in the República neighborhood, São Paulo Historic Center. The devices were stolen during a music festival in the city of Itu, on Saturday (14). According to the Military Police, a victim managed to track the location of his cell phone and went to the police to report that his cell phone was stolen during the event. In addition, a sum of money, two notebooks, used to access the victims’ accounts, and a vehicle were also seized.
16/10/2023 – Criminals on foot robbed two people who were on a motorcycle on Avenida Interlagos, in the Jardim Umuarama neighborhood, South Zone. A camera attached to a car that was following behind recorded the crime. The victims were stopped at the traffic light when they were approached and violently surrendered by the criminals.
16/10/2022 – A man reacted to an attempted robbery in the Morumbi neighborhood, South Zone. The victim was at the door of his house when he was approached by two men on a motorcycle, one of whom was armed. He didn’t hand over his cell phone and fought with one of the bandits. The criminal then shot the victim and fled.
16/10/2022 – The sister of Federal Supreme Court minister Cristiano Zanin was attacked in the Perdizes neighborhood, West Zone. A security camera recorded the moment of the attack. In the images, it is possible to see lawyer Caroline Zanin, 43, standing with two dogs in front of a building, when a pedestrian passes by and kicks her and the animals. Caroline enters the condominium, and the man walks away.
18/10/2023 – Pro-Palestinian group protested in front of the Art Museum of São Paulo (MASP) amid the Hamas/Israel war after the bombing of an hospital in Gaza. The protest took place early at night and Avenida Paulista has not been blocked. Major part of the protesters is Palestinian or relatives.
19/10/2023 – Police investigated armed attack against 3 homeless in Vila Maria, North SP, during the night. Two men on a motorbike shot at 3 homeless. One was shot dead, and the 2 others were rescued and are out of danger in the hospital.
20/10/2023 – Man was caught red-handed sexually harassing a woman in the L12 train station in Tatuapé, East SP. 33yo victim asked the station security agents for help and said it was the 2nd time this day the 45yo suspect harassed her in the train. The suspect has been taken to custody at the 5th Women Protection District (Delegacia da Defesa da Mulher). According to CPTM, there have been 74 sexual harassment cases from January 2023, of which 63 went to Police.
20/10/2023 – A man was shot in the back while waiting for a date in Jardim Taipas, North SP. The 36yo victim has been caught in the so called “Love Scam”, he was waiting for his date, met on a dating app, at night aside his car when 2 men run at him. As he fled, one of the assailants shot a bullet in his back. The victim is being healed at the Taipas General Hospital.
