30/09/2023 – Three armed criminals robbed a car agency on Avenida Itaberaba, in the Freguesia do Ó neighborhood, North Zone at around 14:30. They invaded the store and captured two employees and forced them to hand over the vehicle keys. Security cameras recorded the entire crime. Then they fled with three cars that were closer to the store’s exit. In addition to stealing the cars, they took the employees’ cell phones. According to police, one of the criminals was arrested while driving one of the agency’s stolen vehicles.
30/09/2023 – A group of pedestrians walking along a street in Moema, South Zone, was the target of a mass robbery. No one has been arrested so far. Surveillance cameras recorded the crime. On two motorcycles, three criminals parked and approached the victims. The trio searches the victims, returns to their motorcycles, and flees the scene.
30/10/2023 – Criminals invaded and robbed a lottery store in Vila Formosa, East Zone. Uniformed as employees of the energy company, one of the criminals cut the electricity wire to the lottery house, while the other cut the internet wire. Inside, they took everything possible, including a safe.
02/10/2023 – Two criminals were arrested while trying to steal a high-end car in São Paulo. According to Military Police, the vehicle had been ordered from thieves and would be sold in the region.
03/10/2023 – The São Paulo Civil Police arrested 19 people who broke into a transport company, surrendered two employees, and used a truck to steal goods from the company in the North Zone. One of the criminals arrested tried to grab an officer’s gun, who retaliated and shot the criminal, according to police. Two employees who were being held hostage were released by the police. In addition to the gang’s truck, two more vehicles were seized by the investigation. A fake gun used by the gang was also found, as well as cell phones used by the criminals.
03/10/2023 – Chef Leo Young, winner of the culinary reality show Masterchef, was caught in the middle of a shooting on Avenida dos Bandeirantes, South Zone. The shooting occurred when undercover agents intercepted a vehicle and arrested a man. The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat reported that a 30-year-old man was arrested for receiving stolen goods and robbing homes.
04/10/2023 – An armed man robbed the occupants of a taxi in the middle of traffic, in Vila Clementino, South Zone. The images went viral on the internet. In the video, it is possible to see that the thief takes advantage of the vehicle stopping due to the traffic light on Avenida Rubem Berta and points the gun. The taxi driver is the first to have the objects stolen. He then hits the rear window of the car with the gun, where the taxi passenger is. The man tries to react but ends up handing over his belongings.
04/10/2022 – A Chinese businessman was the victim of a kidnapping in Mooca, East Zone. The bandits pretended to be civil police officers, wearing uniforms and even counterfeit vehicles. One of the gang members was arrested. The victim ended up being released two hours later. According to the police, the gang realized that one of the bandits had been arrested and thought it was dangerous to keep the hostage. The trader was approached by the criminals as he was leaving his house. With the criminal, the police seized a fake Civil Police badge, two fake shirts, a ninja cap, a 9mm pistol and a cell phone.
04/10/2022 – Two men were arrested after robbing an elderly woman’s residence and her luxury car, in the Brooklin region, South Zone. Military Police teams were on patrol in the Morumbi region when they spotted a Range Rover Discovery reported stolen. The criminals fled with jewelry, watches and the victim’s car. The woman was also attacked.
06/10/2022 – A 40-year-old driver was shot and killed after getting involved in a traffic dispute with an off-duty military police officer, in Vila Industrial, East Zone. According to witness reports, the victim was leaving the company’s garage to make a delivery, while maneuvering the truck, he was almost involved in a collision with a military police officer’s (PM) vehicle. After an argument, the PM drew his gun and shot the victim in the chest.
