São Paulo state government presented a project to install smart cameras in Military Police vehicles. The equipment will identify stolen cars by quickly reading license plates.
Tests and Bid
The system has already been installed in ten vehicles that have been tested, and now management has started the bidding process for the contracting of 3,000 new cameras. The service should start operating in early 2023.
Working with Data Bases
The equipment will be able to recognize and alert police officers if a stolen or robbed vehicle is on the road. The cameras will be connected to the internet and access the government system database, where the vehicle information will be for the system to quickly check.
