27/08/2022 – A man was stabbed in the face after arguing with another in front of a mattress store, in the city center, and was registered at the Central de Polícia Judiciária (CPJ) in Santos. The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) reported that the reason for the disagreement between the men was not detailed in the incident report. According to the Military Police, after being approached by the police, the suspect resisted handing over the knife he used in the attack but gave in and handed it to officers who seized the item.
28/08/2022 – An administrator responsible for the ‘accounts payable’ sector of a multinational was arrested for stealing more than R$ 1 million from company vaults in the Aparecida neighborhood. According to the Civil Police, the man confessed that he spent the money on parties, trips and even buying a house for family members. He was charged with theft and will have to pay back the company.
