01/10/2022 – Two robbers were run over while trying to steal a motorcycle in the Pompéia neighborhood. An 18-year-old man was arrested, while the other, who was armed, managed to escape. Surveillance cameras recorded a 48-year-old man stopping a motorcycle on the sidewalk as a black car passes down the street. Two men get out of the vehicle and the driver leaves the scene. The robbers approach the victim and one of them gets on the motorcycle. Seconds later, another car passes and, realizing that the robbery was taking place, the 41-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle runs over the criminals. The motorcycle falls on the sidewalk and one of the robbers gets trapped. The second man flees on foot.
01/10/2022 – Military Police arrested two men, aged 22 and 19, and seized a minor, aged 17, after robbing a drugstore in the Campo Grande neighborhood. The case took place on Avenue Ana Costa. According to the police report, the criminals, one of them armed, invaded the establishment, and announced the robbery, demanding money. While a suspect was stealing money from the cashier at the entrance to the store, two other associates took the employees inside, forcing them to open a safe at the top.
05/10/2022 – A joint operation between the Federal Police and the Federal Revenue Service seized 683 kg of cocaine in the Port of Santos. The drug was hidden in a 21-ton cargo of cattle guts bound for the Port of Le Havre, France. According to the Federal Revenue, a team carried out the selection of the shipment for checking, through objective criteria of risk analysis and inspection by scanning images. During the procedures, a sniffer dog positively signaled the presence of drugs.
