20/05/2022 – An old woman was scammed by two criminals in Ponta da Praia. At around 1h, she approached by one of them, who pretended to be lost. He asked the lady for information while his accomplice arrived and engaged in the conversation, telling he could help him the one that was lost. They spoke to each other for a while next to the old lady and the criminal told his accomplice that he had won the lottery and that he could not get the prize because he was a Jehova’s Witness. Still next to the old lady, he revealed to his accomplice that he could receive the amount in another way: the accomplice and the old lady would each pay R$ 100.000 to buy the ticket. The old woman agreed to participate and got her money stolen by the two criminals.
