19/03/2023 – A man was arrested after speeding his car against children and threatening a neighbor with a firearm in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood. According to the Military Police, they were called to Rua Wilson Ferreira, where a witness stated that during a birthday party, some children were playing when the men arrived driving a car. He accelerated towards the people and, soon after, stopped in front of the residence where he lives. After an argument he entered his house and returned with a gun, threatening everyone.
20/03/2023 – Three criminals were arrested by the Military Police for drug trafficking in the Engenho da Praia community. The action took place during a patrolling along 9th Street, where officers came across several individuals in a smokehouse, belonging to a criminal faction. As they approached, the men tried to flee, but three of them were arrested. During searches in the nearby woods, the police found a bag containing narcotics and money.
23/03/2023 – The Military Police (PM) managed to prevent an attempted murder after receiving a complaint. According to the PM, a team went to Álvaro Borges Street, in the Cajueiro neighborhood, to verify a possible death threat. At the scene, they spotted a vehicle with the doors open and in suspicious attitude. Officers took the approach and after listening to the victim and her mother, the police discovered that the author of the threat was trying to extort a debt of R$11,000 in drugs.
23/03/2023 – Macaé Police Station officers launched the first phase of the “Fury Road” operation, aimed at repressing cargo thefts in Macaé. The arrests are part of an investigation into a cargo theft at a gas station. At the time, three criminals kidnapped a truck driver who was resting, and then fled taking the truck and cargo. Two people were arrested, including the leader of one of the main cargo theft gangs in the interior of the state.
