19/11/2023 – Federal Police arrested 4 bandits and their empty boat for drug trafficking, in the bay of Angra. The Feds have tested the boat and registered some cocaine residues. The investigations pointed out that they have had already transferred the drug into another boat before the arrival of the Feds, as the seized boat had motor problems. The 4 were placed in custody.
20/11/2023 – During the Black Consciousness Holiday, residents of Ilha Grande, Praia do Anil and Morro da Glória 1 protested for the return of electric energy. Indeed, Saturday´s and Sunday´s storms cut the energy in most of the slums of the city, and the energy company, Enel, declared 84% of the inhabitants have been reconnected to the web of the region. Nevertheless, the residents said they still were without energy and water. Angra City Hall has sued Enel for them to provide a better service to the inhabitants and to organize themselves to attend when predictable bad weather conditions.
21/11/2023 – Walkers and fishermen found a floating corpse at the Santa Luzia Pier, Centre Angra. They have called the ER who removed the body from the water, near a moored boat. Forensics and Militar Police have been missioned to investigate this mysterious case.
