On Tuesday (14/06), workers and bus companies reached an agreement, and the strike was suspended for 5 working days in São Paulo. Buses gradually returned to operation. Businessmen accepted a proposal for 12,47% salary increase, and parties must meet again in 5 working days to define other claims still under negotiation. 1,5 million passengers were affected by the strike. On Tuesday (14/06), São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes said that, after the agreement to suspend the bus service strike in the capital, either the city management will have to readjust the fare or the subsidy passed on to companies in the modal to compensate for the salary increase.
