Foreign tourists who plan to enter Brazil via land and sea borders now have the option of pre-registering online to speed up their arrival and avoid long queues. Brazilians who are outside the country can also fill out pre-registration to speed up assistance at immigration control points upon entry. The form can be completed up to five days before the date of arrival in the country.

Tourism Season
The measure was implemented by the Federal Police (PF) in order to improve the migration experience in high tourism season in Brazil, which starts in December. At this time, long lines of tourists tend to form at land borders, especially in the South region, such as in Uruguaiana (RS) and Foz do Iguaçu (PR).
Online Adress
Pre-registration can be done in Portuguese, Spanish or English at https://www.gov.br/pt-br/servicos/pre-cadastro-migratorio
Steps
After sending the data — such as name, date of entry, document number, country of origin — the traveler receives a QR Code to be presented in printed format or on the cell phone screen at migration control points.
The migration officer will read the QR Code and check the document, without having to enter the data, which saves time. In addition, travelers who have pre-registered will be able to join an exclusive, faster queue.
