On Tuesday (15/03), the agency confirmed that it used a software called “FristMile” to monitor the location of people by mobile phone number during the administration of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). According to Abin, the tool is no longer under use. According to the contract signed, Abin could monitor up to 10,000 cell phones within a year.
How It Works
The device owner’s last known whereabouts can be tracked on a map. It is enough to enter the numbers of phone contacts in the program.
Monitoring the Opposition?
Federal Deputy Lindbergh Farias sent a request for information to the chamber’s executive committee to find out whether Abin monitored the geographical location of Congressmen and members of the opposition.
