Blackout
When the protest occurred, the city was facing its second day of blackout, and there were yet 30,200 properties in the metropolitan region of São Paulo without electricity supply. The problem appeared after a strong windstorm and storm that hit the region on Friday (03/11). This fact generated indignation and damage among part of the population.
Barrier on the Road
At Giovanni Gronchi, residents of the region set fire to objects on the road, which led to the closure of the avenue in the “Ladeirão do Morumbi” region. The protest was dispersed, but the road was closed again at the intersection with Clementine Brenne Street at around 20:20.
