According to data released by the Health Secretaries National Council (Conass) and the Health Ministry about Covid cases and deaths in Brazil during the 176th (14 to 20 May) epidemiological week, the number of new Covid-19 confirmed cases in Brazil decreased by 37.96% when compared to the 175th(7 to 13 May) week. In terms of deaths of patients with Covid-19, a 20.32% decrease was registered while compared to the 175th week.
According to the latest information released by the Brazilian Health Minitry webpage, on Monday (29/05) at 02h48, 166 million second doses, and 5,049 million single doses have been given. The results represents a total of people fully vaccinated or 80.70% of its total population. Brazil has approximately 212 million citizens, according to IBGE.
