According to data released by the Health Secretaries National Council (Conass) and the Health Ministry did not update data about Covid cases and deaths in Brazil. The last update showed that during the 174th (30 April to 6 May) epidemiological week, the number of new Covid-19 confirmed cases in Brazil decreased by 38.87% when compared to the 173rd (23 to 29 April) week. In terms of deaths of patients with Covid-19, a 16.51% decrease was registered while compared to the 173rd week.
According to the latest information released by the Brazilian Health Minitry webpage, on Monday (22/05) at 02h14, 166 million second doses, and 5,049 million single doses have been given. The results represents a total of people fully vaccinated or 80.70% of its total population. Brazil has approximately 212 million citizens, according to IBGE. Worldwide, data from 21 May indicates that 64.29% (5,13 billion) of people are fully vaccinated. Below, the graph with Brazil and other nations.
